Some good news: my trio of choral works, “Pine Forest,” “Giver of Stars,” and “Blue Water” won an honorable mention in the Boston Choral Ensemble’s Composition Competition.

I had a lovely time at the New Amsterdam Singers Benefit yesterday evening at the Academy of Medicine in New York City. The singers graciously performed a preview of my piece, “Tempest,” which they’ll be premiering on May 23. Very excited for the concert!
While at PAX East this year, Game Dwellers interviewed a couple of the Cloudberry Kingdom founders (and me too) about the upcoming game!
Very happy to announce that Cloudberry Kingdom (link goes to game trailer), which I wrote music for!!!, will be released this summer on multiple platforms: Mac, PC, PS3, Vita, Wii U, and Xbox 360 this summer. Oh, and Ubisoft is publishing it! Read about Cloudberry’s journey here…plus there’s a great video of the guys behind the game.
It’s a fun and super hard game game, so if you’re up for a challenge, don’t miss it! And you’ll get to hear my music
I’m happy to announce that one of my newest choral pieces, “Broadway,” was selected by the Manhattan Choral Ensemble as a winner of their composition contest. The group, directed by Tom Cunningham, will premiere “Broadway” at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music on Saturday, May 18. Click here for the program.
Hope to see some of you there! The audience favorite of the night wins an encore performance!
A couple of new choral pieces added to my catalog. Check them out!
Speaking of Min Ding’s film, “Three Light Bulbs,” it will be screening Thursday, March 15th at 7:30PM at the Anthology Film Archives (32 Second Avenue in NYC). Come if you can! There will be a Q &A with filmmakers after the screenings. Tickets are available here.
New video added to the “Watch” section. It’s another excerpt from Min Ding’s lovely short, “Three Light Bulbs” with my music.
Thank you so much to Dr. Philip Brunelle and VocalEssence for commissioning and premiering my piece, “Lady Freedom Among Us,” last Monday. The singers are marvelous, and it was such an honor to work with them and set Rita Dove’s amazing work.
I’m thrilled to announced that Paul Dwyer, who commissioned and premiered “Monologues for Baroque Cello” a few months ago at Juilliard, will be taking my piece on tour in California this March, as well as performing it during the Maiden Lane concert series back in NYC.
